Each item in our collection was created as a love letter to women of all Shades, Shapes and Sizes, and were designed with the sole purpose to make the subject feel seen and feel special.
At Omalicha Something, our vision is to bring more attention to how innovative black designers are in the fashion community on a global scale. Therefore, we make great efforts to ensure that our unique and quality statement pieces; which are handcrafted in West Africa, are more accessible to YOU here in North America. We see this as a reverse investment in the motherland, and also as a means to promote a positive way of thinking about products made by people of colour.
Our origin
The word Omalicha (or-ma-lee-cha) is of Nigerian origin and means "beautiful" in Igbo from the Eastern part of Nigeria. Omalicha Something was founded by a Nigerian – Canadian, Licha Ade, whose vision is to celebrate each of our unique sense of self-expression through our styles.
Omalicha Something collaborates with local artisans from West Africa to bring you our one of a kind, handcrafted, products which are made to be styled with a fusion of North American and West African street-wear.

About Our Collections
Each style in our collection is inspired by strong personality traits of the queens who we admire. Our collections are also designed to exhibit an alter ego of the queens we hope to be.
Because each item is handcrafted from scratch to finish, variations in the pieces are to be expected. Therefore, no two items in our collections are exactly the same; this makes your experience more interesting and unique.
